The 2022-2023 Season has kicked off albeit slowly due to the amount of rain that we have been having. There is still a fair bit of snow on the mountains and the water table is getting a big fill.
Dartmouth Dam is spilling over and just about every other lake is spilling over or not far from it.
My local streams are way up and in most cases; too high to fish safely at present.
All of that still doesn’t help with my Cabin Fever due to being restricted over the last month or so whilst recovering from Ankle surgery; for which I am well on the road to full mobilization but now with a week plus of self isolation due to getting the dreaded COVID.
I am into my second week and feeling better every day now.
A few more days and I will test myself again to see if I am still positive.
Meanwhile I have been trying to take advantage of my down time to add new items to my website shop and tie flies for orders as well as my own stock.
I am planning on doing more videos and picture stories this season and trying to get away for some more remote location trips.
Obviously the weather and stream levels will dictate when we will be getting into some of these mountain streams.
Is there anything that you guys would like me to cover in some of these videos?
I am planning on doing a few to cover Tandem Rigs and Deep Nymphing.
I am always open to suggestions for those learning and trying to expand on their knowledge so please leave a comment or ask a question and I will try and answer them for you.
Cheers for now; Scottie
