The powerful magnet hols the fly, causing it to tip up so that the hook eye falls into the groove, in the correct place, with the correct angle.
The hole well enough to get the line through, especially tippet and leader. Then it is very easy to run your tippet along the channel where it is fed into the hook eye and out the other side.
