The Big River 5wt Glass Fly Rod is a fiberglass fly rod, with a medium action glass fly rod in 8’1” size, perfect for a 5 weight line with a little extra body. This is an amazing rod for river and stream fishing, with a delicate presentation when needed and more than capable of handling a heavy nymph under a dry or even double nymph rig. And best of all, it can muscle a big fish with surprising mid-flex strength. It’s fun to cast and even more fun to play fish on.

This rod features half wells compressed A grade cork handle with composite cork on each end. It offers a surprisingly high quality, smooth cork finish for the price point. Hard chrome plated snake guides. Hard wooden reel seat.

The rod blank is with attractive transparent orange, high gloss coat. It also features alignment dots for quick and easy assembly. Perfect for fishing those larger streams and rivers where you want that extra punch when fighting those bigger fish in strong currents.
