These 5weight Fly Rods are fairly new into the Stable.  After the success of the 3wt and 4wt versions of this rod I ordered one in to try out.
I was not disappointed in its action and feel!

This rod is well suited to the larger rivers and lakes.  It has been put through it’s paces in the Spawning Run at Eucumbene casting in strong winds with heavy double nymphs and split shot.
I have used mine for the Evening Rise on the Mitta Mitta River casting small dries on long leaders to rising fish.

I have teamed this rod up with a nice CNC machined 5/6wt Reel, backing, Snowy Creek WFF5 Fly Line, 9′ Leader and 3 spools of my Snowy Creek Tippet Material 2X, 3X & 4X

A great setup at a very affordable price.
