The 2023-2024 Season has ended and we are not too far off starting the 2024-2025 Trout Season.

So many fantastic days out on the water with clients and friends covering so many different waterways.

From beginners trying Flyfishing for the first time right through to seasoned veterans I have enjoyed the company of so many people on so many different waters.
We have wandered river banks and small streams as well as done some Bush Bashing into beautiful Mountain Streams catching some stunning Trout.

My online store has quietly been ticking over products to my customers and I have been seeing a lot of my Fly Rod Packages being sold and sent all over the country.  The ease of having the whole outfit put together and posted out so that all you have to do is; Go Fishing ?

The later part of my Season took a bit of a hit as my Father had a massive Heart Attack which had me bedside for nearly 3 months. It was a tough time for him and family with it looking pretty grim.  I am very happy to say that he has survived and is mow back home recuperating and slowly getting his strength back. ? ?

I am now back in my Office doing some Fly rod repairs for a client and they should be finished later today ready to go back to him so he can start his season off nicely.
WE have been getting some nice rain here in The Shire over the last month which is starting to give the streams a nice rejuvenation and fill the Water table up for the New Season.
I will be cleaning off mt Tying Desk over the next few days and starting my tying to refill my Boxes for the 24-25 Season.
No doubt there will be many of the proven nymphs coming off the vice over the next few weeks in readiness  for the cold higher waters at the beginning of the Season.
Then I’ll move on to the Emergers and small Dunns along with Ants and a fresh box of Tiny MoFo’s for those Fussy Buggers which is aptly named “The Bastard Box” (size 16 to 20)?
These I put in a special box I buy from Troutlore that has a centre section of Line Threaders that I thread through the eye of the flys and store ready to put my tippet through then easily thread the fly straight onto it and ready to tie without having to squint and curse many times over.

For those  people who are looking at improving their Flyfishing or just having a Refresher Course to start the New Season right; I will be holding a few of these in the Early part of the Season that will run over 2 days so as you can kick off on the right foot and build on your skill set so as to give you the Best  start for the season.
